Sales in AI World 2025

22 January 2025 • By Shakti Kumar Leekha

AI is getting into main stream and is altering how we work, communicate, innovate and think about what is our future going to be like.AI starts from what we all now know are use as tools. There are three stages of AI, Generative, Agent and Future AI.

Generative AI refers to AI systems that create new content, such as text, images, music, or other media. These systems are trained on large datasets to generate outputs that mimic human creativity.
ChatGPT for text, DALL·E for image ,Codex for code generation.

  • Key Features: Uses models like Transformers (e.g., GPT, BERT),Focuses on creating novel content rather than recognizing .

Gen AI will help in Flag customer/consumer sentiment analysis, Set up meetings for you, Help refine our messaging/presentation, Generate outreach messages ,Flag accounts that may not close, Identify upsell opportunities, Review contracts or Requests for Proposal (RFPs),Generate contracts, proposals, and marketing collateral.

Agent AI represents AI systems that perform tasks autonomously in dynamic environments. These AI agents are designed to sense, plan, and act toward achieving specific goals.

Autonomous driving systems (e.g., Tesla Autopilot), Virtual assistants (e.g., Siri or Alexa, when acting autonomously), Robotic process automation (RPA) bots.

  • Key Features Perceives the environment through sensors or data, Uses reasoning or decision-making algorithms to act, Can learn from feedback to improve actions.

AI Agent (AIA)

A list of requirements is drawn up, and your AI agent (AIA) goes out and finds potential vendors.
The AIA then constructs a comparison analysis of the top three products on the market by reviewing the product, price, and client reviews.

Then, a cost-benefit analysis is developed, and a recommendation is made. At that point, a call is made to the top two or three vendors.

AI sales agents are used by the sales team to handle repetitive tasks, like lead qualifications, follow-ups, scheduling and coaching. This helps to save time, scale, outreach, improve quota attainment & increase customer engagement along with satisfaction.

Future AI is a speculative/conceptual term referring to the next evolution of AI, potentially including Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)/Superintelligent AI.

Examples (hypothetical or theoretical): AGI: An AI system with human-level cognitive abilities across a wide range of tasks.

Superintelligent AI: Far surpassing human intelligence in all domains.

  • Key Features: Generalized understanding and problem-solving, not limited to specific tasks. The ability to perform any intellectual task that a human can do. Potentially self-improving or autonomous beyond current capabilities.

New world of “agentic AI,” where companies can create specialized digital agents to handle tasks like customer service, sales, and more, which can be customized and integrated into different business workflows. These AI agents are different from simple chatbots – they can remember context, reason through complex tasks, and even interact with other AI agents, potentially doing things like booking a rental car or scheduling meetings on your behalf.

Future work will involve humans becoming “orchestrators” who manage these AI agents, focusing on high-level strategy while letting AI handle repetitive and routine tasks. Agentic AI workflows significantly outperform zero-shot prompting by iterating through research, draft, critique, revise, and think stages, producing superior output.

Cool new way of using AI where instead of just getting a one-and-done response, the AI goes through a bunch of steps: writing something, checking its own work, making it better, and even playing different “roles” to solve problems more effectively.

To deny that AI can’t replace full-time or contract workers is ignoring the power of AI Agents! The rise of AI Agents is real!
